With expertise that is characterised by diversity and industry excellence, Tonkin prides itself on being a national leader in the markets of water, waste, transport, natural resources management, buildings, public works and land development.Our growing pipeline of large-scale, high-profile, and complex projects means we are looking for the best people in their fields to join us as we realise our vision to be Australia’s infrastructure consultant of choice.About our Senior Civil Designer position:Tonkin is now seeking candidates with suitable experience to join our Design and Drafting team and apply their skills in the design and detailing of all aspects of our infrastructure projects.You will be joining a close-knit team that prides itself on professional, technical and collaborative excellence, while supporting Tonkin’s’ multidisciplinary approach that ensures our clients receive the best solutions.As an experienced Civil Designer, you will be an integral part of a team of highly skilled specialists who collectively perform the following:Support our Transport, Local Government & Development and Water teams for all infrastructure design solutions relating to: Roads & Highways, Transport Structures, Water & Wastewater Infrastructure projects, Local Roads, Stormwater Design, Municipal & Urban Development projects.Apply proficiency in modelling and drafting using 12d Model, AutoCAD and AutoTurnWork collaboratively with Engineers to design and draft for a wide range of infrastructure projects About youTogether with your exemplary teamwork, stakeholder management, written and verbal communication skills; to be successful in this role you will ideally possess the following:Minimum 5-7 years’ experience utilising AutoCAD and 12d ModelMinimum 5-7 years civil design experience in one or more of the following areas: Road Reconstruction, Local Road and LATM Design, Public Realm Design, Land Division Design, Bulk Earthworks and Stormwater Design and Water and Wastewater InfrastructureWorking knowledge of Austroads and relevant Australian StandardsExperience in design for State Government Road authoritiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a strong focus on the production of quality outputs The position represents opportunity for someone with experience in a similar position who is keen to grow their expertise and develop their career even further by working on a variety of projects in a leading consultancy firm.This is the ideal position for someone who is driven to master their craft in modelling and design software, is committed to providing quality design solutions , and is excited about joining a high performing team who are recognised for technical excellence, finding creative and progressive ways to deliver value for our clients, and putting a values based human touch into developing solutions that have wide reaching and critical impact.Job locationThis role is based at Tonkin’s state-of-the-art head office in Adelaide’s CBD.Flexible/work-from-home arrangements may also be possible.The Tonkin differenceWe know people perform at their best when they enjoy coming to work.At Tonkin we offer you the opportunity to work with leading industry experts in a genuinely supportive and caring environment.
