While we support flexible, remote‑friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Sydney/Melbourne so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing. This role is a 3.5 month engagement, working full‑time hours per week. Targeted start date for this role is the start of January 2026. What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that’s all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you’ll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. We’re seeking a Senior Designer with exceptional craft, strong conceptual thinking, and a deep understanding of integrated brand and marketing design. As part of our Campaigns Team, you’ll play a key role in shaping and executing world‑class creative that brings Canva’s brand and products to life across global marketing moments. You’ll transform insights and strategic direction into high‑impact campaign ideas, and then drive those ideas through to beautifully crafted executions across digital, social, OOH, experiential, and emerging channels. You have an eye for detail, a commitment to design excellence, and the ability to build cohesive visual narratives that scale across markets and surfaces. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Art Directors, Copywriters, Motion Designers, Producers, and cross‑functional partners across Marketing, Growth, and Product Marketing. You’ll champion creative quality, uphold brand consistency, and push our campaigns to stand out in meaningful and memorable ways. At the moment, this role is focused on: Crafting exceptional visual design across large‑scale campaigns, product launches, and brand moments. Translating strategic insights into clear, compelling creative concepts and campaign systems. Developing and extending visual directions across multiple surfaces—digital, social, video, OOH, experiential, email, and internal brand comms. Partnering with Art Directors and Creative Leads to shape the visual direction and creative approach for campaigns. Guiding designers, agencies, and production partners to maintain craft excellence throughout execution. Presenting work with clarity and conviction, articulating design rationale and ensuring alignment with overall campaign objectives. Contributing to the ongoing evolution of Canva’s campaign identity and help elevate the craft standard across the team. You're probably a match if You have exceptional visual design craft, demonstrated through a portfolio that shows refined execution, strong storytelling, and brand‑building experience. You have the ability to concept and execute integrated marketing campaigns that flex across digital performance channels, social storytelling, and brand‑led communications. You have deep understanding of platform‑specific creative best practices and how to design for impact in fast‑moving digital environments. You have strong collaboration skills, working seamlessly with creative partners and cross‑functional teams to bring ideas to life. You have the ability to balance creative ambition with practical production considerations, ensuring work is both high‑quality and scalable. You have a proactive approach to problem‑solving and the ability to navigate ambiguity with clarity and confidence. You have a passion for pushing creative boundaries while maintaining alignment with brand strategy and design systems. You have Figma expertise and ability to use Canva is required for this role.
