Role Description This partner-level is a hybrid role located in Sydney, NSW Australia for a very senior management consultant. We are seeking an experienced consultant to lead complex, high-impact consulting engagements across strategy, transformation, and business performance in Financial Services and technology. The successful candidate will work closely with executive stakeholders to shape strategic direction, deliver operational improvements, increase productivity, and drive sustainable business outcomes. This role requires a proven track record in consulting for major corporations, people leadership skills, business development, relationship management, account management, public speaking skills and thought leadership, particularly in Financial Services. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of complex consulting engagement across multiple business domains. Influence strategy, project budget, scope, timelines, resource plans, and delivery methodologies. Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level clients, providing actionable, evidence-based insights. Ensure quality assurance and alignment of deliverables within client expectations. Develop and implement enterprise-wide transformation strategies (digital, operational, organisational). Translate high-level business vision and objectives into tangible, achievable transformation roadmaps. Oversee change management, operating model redesign, and process optimisation. Mentor, coach, and develop junior and mid-level consultants. Build high-performing, cross-functional teams and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence. Promote internal knowledge sharing, IP development, and capability uplift. Lead proposal development and pitch presentations for new business opportunities. Build and maintain long-term client relationships, identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across service lines. Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, panels, publish white papers, blogs, and articles. Stay ahead of market trends, disruptions, and regulatory shifts. Required Experience & Qualifications 10+ years of management consulting experience with at least 5 years in a senior role. Proven delivery of large-scale transformation or strategy engagements. Deep industry expertise in Financial Services. Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in client acquisition and retention. Experience managing P&L, client portfolios, or regional practice areas is highly regarded. Passionate for success and quality. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership presence and ability to influence at the executive level. Commercially savvy with strong negotiation and deal-closing skills. Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Technology, HR, Marketing or related field (required). MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification (highly preferred). Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile) advantageous. Remuneration Competitive base salary + performance bonuses. Profit sharing (for Partner-level roles).
