Enrolled Nurse – Medical (Ward 5A) Employer: Bendigo Advertiser, Calvary Mater Newcastle Location: Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia (Ward 5A – 24-bed medical and stroke unit) Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient‑centred environment. Work a seven‑day rotating schedule including morning, evening and night shifts. Provide nursing care to patients with general medical conditions and stroke. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver nursing care. Work independently, maintaining organisation and efficiency during periods of high demand. Communicate effectively with patients, families and clinical staff. Qualifications & Selection Criteria Enrolled Nurse authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Recent demonstrated experience on a general medical ward. Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Capability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during high demand. Effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. A‑level or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent recognised qualification. Minimum 12 months post‑registration full‑time experience as an Enrolled Nurse. Current basic life support (BLS) certification. A, IT and cleanroom safety certification as required. Employment of grade 1 and below. Salary & Benefits Remuneration: $32.79 to $35.63 per hour + super. Annual leave loading. Incentive: Up to $2,000. Relocation incentive negotiable.
