Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist - Anaesthesia and Perfusion Services, Queensland Health Queensland Government – Brisbane QLD Part time, Full time, Permanent, Casual/Temporary Provide competent quality clinical care to patients under his/her care, and to actively participate in education administration and research endeavours. About the role The Staff Specialist (Anaesthetics) primary responsibility is to provide competent quality clinical care to patients under his/her care, and to actively participate in education administration and research endeavours. The Staff Specialist (Anaesthetics) is responsible for providing high quality Anaesthetics management across the required services at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) and Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS). The Staff Specialist (Anaesthetics) provides leadership in clinical services of Anaesthetics that is innovative, encourages participation in treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstrable improvement in patient outcomes. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Provision of Anaesthetics Service to patients in accordance with the standards of the discipline and the ethics of the profession in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Maintain Anaesthetics service standards, guidelines, procedures and policies. Active participation in clinical audits, clinical meetings and clinical incident management resolution Facilitate a learning environment by sharing knowledge and expertise, participating in teaching and research activities, and supporting the development of colleagues.
