About the Role We are on the lookout for kind, compassionate experienced Therapeutic Mental Health Support Workers to join our team working with people with psychosocial challenges. You will be working directly with complex trauma, mental health challenges and learning difficulties. Your flexibility across a 24 / 7 roster will help provide consistent, holistic support for individuals to build their capacity and achieve their goals. Sleep over shifts and some weekend work is a requirement. About You You enjoy relationship building and being a part of the journey with those in your care. Skills and Experience Certificate IV in Community Service / Disability Services or equivalent qualification Experience in the disability or mental health, OOHC sectors A responsible attitude and strong rapport building skills – strong skills in maintaining positive, dignified and respectful relationships with participants, their families and other health and support workers. Ability to use clear and concise language in verbal communication and set clear boundaries. Demonstrated ability to calmly de-escalate emotive situations. Ability to apply understanding of 'duty of care' to delivering support services and elevate issues when required. Demonstrated ability to write and maintain accurate written records and documentation. Demonstrated flexibility in delivering a broad range of services for NDIS participants. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
