Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a passionate and innovative Teacher to join their friendly Student Services team at Champion Bay Senior High School (CBSHS) in Greater Geraldton. This twelve (12) month fixed‑term full‑time position commences Term 1, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency. With a population of approximately 40,000, the CGG covers an area of approximately 47,200 square kilometres and includes the towns of Mullewa and Walkaway. Role This role will suit someone who is highly motivated, relationship‑focused and passionate about creating a caring and exciting learning environment that supports staff and students to be their best selves. Deputise and support Student Services Managers as required Complex Behaviour Support Coordinator – work with school leaders to develop connected and tiered systems and approaches including: using data to identify and plan for universal, targeted and intensive supports in the areas of learning, wellbeing and behaviour developing clear systems and processes that consider the needs of all students reducing teacher workload pressures Conduct home visits as required to assist with student planning and attendance (Badged attendance officer) Oversee the Student Leadership program (7‑12) in consultation Respond to requests for behaviour support as required Oversee whole school positive wellbeing events such as RUOK day, good standing events etc. in consultation Excursion, incursion and event paperwork Maintenance of good standing data and information to whole school Participate in and advise on the effectiveness of Tier 1, 2 and 3 interventions strategies/programs Case management of students requiring Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions Provide Gatekeeper assessment as required Support the re‑entry process of students following suspension Assembly support in consultation Other duties as determined in consultation with the relevant Associate Principal or Senior School Management Professional Benefits Attractive Country Teaching Program Allowance of $5 000 per year District allowance of $1 239 a year Temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 000 (see info below) 12 percent employer contributions to superannuation 12 weeks’ vacation leave (school holidays) More than 20 days of other leave, including sick leave and carers’ leave Subsidised accommodation where applicable Free relocation Eligibility Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
