The Role Andrew Boy Charlton Pool seeks an outstanding Assistant Centre Manager to work on a full‑time basis. Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, the role is to ensure smooth operation of the facility in accordance with operational practices, contractual requirements, quality systems, legislative regulations and industry guidelines. The Assistant Centre Manager will drive a customer centric approach to the provision of programmes and services, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and work with the Centre Manager to develop and manage the customer journey. Key Accountabilities Ensure the team of site staff operate effectively to deliver a safe, patron‑friendly site that is always open for use. Manage sales, retention, guest experience, customer service and health and fitness activities. Act on patron feedback, reducing negative perception over time. Maintain the physical appearance of the site to faultless standards and achieve a zero‑injury model site. Adhere to OH&S processes and management systems provided by Belgravia and legislative regulatory standards. Assist the Centre Manager in growing the membership base by generating leads and providing professional service to existing and prospective members. Apply financial management skills around sales, growth and retention of memberships. Develop and oversee Learn to Swim programming. Support member sales and retention while understanding centre operations. Maintain compliance with Working with Children (or equivalent) and the national police check. Hold current First Aid Certificate (Level 2) and CPR Certificate. Possess a minimum of three years’ experience assisting/managing and operating a facility in the leisure or comparable service‑related industry. Have experience in the aquatics industry. Qualifications & Requirements Strong background in Learn to Swim programming. Experience in member sales and retention, and understanding of centre operations. Working with Children or equivalent. National Police Check. Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2). Current CPR Certificate. At least three years’ experience in the leisure or comparable service industry. Aquatics industry experience.
