About the Role Reporting to the General Manager, and an integral member of the management team, you will have the day-to-day responsibility for managing a team of detailers based both in Australia and overseas. Key Responsibilities Team and Workload Management Manage the detailing team, allocate tasks based on project priorities and team capabilities. Scheduling projects to meet required deadlines. Team Supervision Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of detailers, including internal and outsourced resources. Quality Management Review and approve all detailing drawings, 3D models and related documents (shop drawings, layouts, material lists) for accuracy and completeness. Technical Leadership Act as the main technical point of contact, resolve design and detailing discrepancies, and provide technical support to fabrication and installation teams. Technical Support Provide technical guidance and support to the team, staying updated on the latest industry developments and software. Project Co-Ordination Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and external stakeholders on RFIs and drawing clarifications. Documentation & Reporting Maintain project register, manage document control, and generate necessary reports. Process Improvement Drive a culture of teamwork, safety, innovation, and accountability within the detailing team. About You To become part of the GNL Detailing Team, you will have: 5+ years’ experience in steel detailing 2+ years in a management or supervisory role High proficiency with 3D CAD software Experience in Framecad software would be highly regarded but not necessary Ability to read and interpret building plans Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes Knowledge of general construction processes, including roof truss and wall frame construction Excellent communication and leadership skills Have a high level of attention to details & accuracy Ability to work to set timeframes Excellent written and oral communication skills What We Offer Software training where required Ongoing mentoring, career development and training A fun and energetic workplace A flexible, inclusive and diverse workplace Remuneration Salary will be agreed upon by your skill set and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
