IT and Digital Recruitment - Engagement Specialist at Exclaim IT About the Job Join us as a Systems Administrator (Vulnerability Specialist) and take the lead in safeguarding our digital assets As part of the Digital Services and Information Technology Command (DSITC), you will play a pivotal role in fortifying our IT infrastructure through strategic vulnerability management and remediation. About the Role Reporting to the Director of Cyber Security, you will be at the forefront of enhancing the security of our diverse IT platforms. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire lifecycle of vulnerability remediation, from planning and implementation to testing and change control. With your expertise, you will develop automated patching strategies and ensure our systems are resilient against emerging threats. Key Responsibilities Remediate and mitigate cyber security vulnerabilities across multiple platforms through effective patching, configuration changes, and system upgrades. Manage the full lifecycle of vulnerability remediation, ensuring compliance with guidelines and security protocols. Assist in the development and implementation of automated patching systems for operating systems, applications, and IoT devices, aligned with the ACSC Essential 8. Implement group policies, Intune policies, and scripting solutions to address configuration vulnerabilities across servers, workstations, mobile devices, and IoT devices. Skills and Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Operations, System Administration, or similar technical roles. Proven track record in deploying, configuring, and maintaining a diverse range of IT infrastructure, including Windows Servers, Active Directory, SQL clusters, Commvault, Group Policy, and VMware ESX clusters. Demonstrated experience in configuring and managing tools like Intune, Azure Update Manager, and server monitoring systems. Strong familiarity with Linux environments. Solid understanding of ITIL or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks. Recent hands‑on experience in vulnerability management within large enterprise, corporate, or government settings. Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure. Certifications in Cybersecurity or related fields (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+). Experience with cloud services and infrastructure management. Familiarity with DevOps practices and agile methodologies. Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
