Early Childhood Teacher and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care Singleton Preschool Inc is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care professional to join our team on a 12-month contract basis, commencing in 2026. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education and care to children aged 3-5 years in a nurturing and stimulating environment. The position is based in Singleton, NSW 2330. The Early Childhood Teacher position will be a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in 2026, commencing the 28th of January. The Diploma position is a 2 day per week maternity relief position on a Thursday and Friday on the 29th of January. The hours of operation are between 8.30am-4.30pm (8hrs per day). What you'll be doing Preparing and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework Observing and assessing children's progress, and using this information to individualise learning experiences Providing a safe, secure and caring environment that promotes children's wellbeing, learning and development, upholding the Child Safe Standards Effectively communicating with parents, families and other professionals to support positive outcomes for children Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations Collaborating with the Preschool team to continually improve the quality of the Preschool program What we're looking for A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care Minimum 2 years' experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher in a similar setting Strong knowledge of child development, early childhood pedagogy and the regulatory environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues A genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of young children A current Working with Children Check and First Aid certificate What we offer Competitive remuneration and professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment Commitment to work-life balance and employee wellbeing Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children About us Singleton Preschool Inc. is a not-for-profit community-based early childhood education service that has been operating in Singleton, NSW for over 50 years.
