Versatile Technology isa world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced test and measurement systems for the metal packaging industry. Located in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, we are seeking a committed and self–motivated individual to fill a role within the technical customer support team on a permanent basis. We export around 95% of our production to major corporations in the USA, Europe, Japan, Asia, China, Middle East and Central and South America. About the role Resolving technical customer queries onsite, by phone and email. Providing support for field technicians and engineers. International travel, sometimes at short notice to service, calibrate and repair our testing systems. A willingness to travel anywhere in the world is essential. Skills and experience Certificate IV, diploma or degree in mechatronics, electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering. Must be an Australian citizen and hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian passport. Must have an Australian driver’s license. Fluent written and spoken English with a high level of accuracy. Commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to co‑operate with the team to assist customers and colleagues. Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, a self‑starter with a can‑do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile. Experience with the following will be an advantage: Proven ability to work as part of a team or autonomously. Practical fault finding experience. Hands on wiring, cabling and electronic kit assembly. This role will require overseas travel to perform varied duties including servicing, calibrating and repairing equipment. Travel will be required to destinations such as North, Central and South America, Middle East, Europe and Africa. If this type of travel is not for you, please do not apply.
