Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent, ensuring succession planning and capability growth. Develop and implement an engineering strategy that ensures reliability, performance, and longevity of plant and equipment. Lead the development and execution of preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Ensure compliance with WH&S, environmental, food safety, and regulatory standards. Embed a safety-first culture across the Engineering function. Identify and implement new technologies and automation to enhance productivity. Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and manage engineering budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources. About You Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline). 10+ years\' engineering/maintenance leadership in food manufacturing or related heavy industry. Proven success in leading engineering/maintenance teams in large-scale operations. Strong knowledge of asset management, reliability engineering and maintenance planning. Strong WH&S and regulatory compliance knowledge. Commercial acumen with experience managing budget and contracts. Experience in port, meat processing, or FMCG environment is desirable. Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications is desirable. Experience with automation, robotics and process control systems is desirable.
