Base pay range A$85,000.00/yr - A$85,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from YTO Trading (Australia) We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our express logistics warehouse located in (Country Name). This role is critical to ensuring the efficient, accurate, and secure handling of cross-border express parcels. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on leader with a strong focus on safety, process optimization, and team management, capable of maintaining the highest standards of service in a fast‑paced international logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Daily Warehouse Operations Management Oversee all inbound, outbound, and value‑added services within the warehouse, including receiving, sorting, storage, order picking, palletising, and dispatch. Ensure all operational activities strictly adhere to the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Manage the flow of express parcels to meet cut‑off times for flights and last‑mile delivery, minimising dwell time and ensuring timely departures. Supervise the handling of special shipments, such as dangerous goods, temperature‑sensitive items, and high‑value cargo, in compliance with IATA/ICAO and local regulations. Lead, train, schedule, and motivate the warehouse team, including forklift operators, sorters, and clerks. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability among all team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs to enhance team capabilities. Inventory & Asset Management Maintain impeccable inventory accuracy through cycle counts and annual physical inventories. Quickly identify and reconcile any discrepancies. Manage warehouse assets, including material handling equipment (MHE), packaging materials, and IT hardware, ensuring they are well‑maintained and operational. Implement strong security protocols to prevent theft, loss, or damage to inventory and assets. Safety, Security & Compliance Serve as the primary enforcer of health and safety policies, conducting regular safety briefings and audits to ensure a zero‑accident work environment. Ensure the warehouse complies with all local customs, security (e.g., TSA, RA3, or local equivalent), and aviation security regulations for international freight. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse floor following the 5S methodology. Process Improvement & Reporting Continuously analyse warehouse processes to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing service quality. Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to monitor productivity, track inventory, and generate daily/weekly operational reports. Collaborate with other departments, such as Customs Clearance, Linehaul, and Customer Service, to resolve issues and improve end‑to‑end operational flow. Manage relationships with relevant vendors, such as equipment maintenance providers and temporary staffing agencies.
