Team Leader Abortion & Contraception Service – The Royal Women’s Hospital Join us as a Team Leader for the Abortion & Contraception Service at The Royal Women’s Hospital, located in Parkville. Salary & Benefits Full‑time (1.0 FTE) position with a base salary of $104,135 – $118,981, salary packaging, superannuation, and five weeks annual leave. About the Team The Abortion and Contraception team is part of the Social Work Department, providing intake services for pregnant people seeking abortion, offering decision‑making support, counselling, advocacy, and referrals to community services. About the Role As a Team Leader you will combine clinical practice with leadership, managing the clinical operations of the service and leading a small team of social workers. Direct clinical practice – intake service, short‑term options, and post‑termination counselling. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Provide professional supervision, training, and professional development to staff. What We’re Looking For 7+ years of clinical experience, preferably in the health sector. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of abortion care and trauma‑informed care. Experience working with victim/survivors of family violence, sexual assault, and complex trauma. Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and develop innovative models of care. IT proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic records.
