Role Overview Delivering strong commercial outcomes is critical to BMD's success. As a Senior Contract Administrator you will take ownership of contractual and financial matters on major civil construction projects. You will manage head contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance and driving commercial performance. This is a leadership role where your expertise will shape project success and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain contract and risk strategies Lead tendering, negotiation, and formation of subcontracts Execute subcontracting strategy aligned with project budgets Prepare and manage claims, variations, and dispute resolutions Review and certify subcontractor progress claims and payments Provide commercial and contract advice to project teams Participate in risk and opportunity reviews and progress meetings Forecast final cost positions and support cost control processes What You'll Bring Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, finance, accounting, legal, or business (preferred) 5+ years of experience in engineering and construction, including senior contract roles Proven track record managing subcontracts on large lump sum projects Extensive experience in risk management and performance delivery Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Diversity and Inclusion We recognise that we are strengthened by diversity, and we embrace differences as an equal opportunity employer providing a flexible and inclusive workplace.
