Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality service to clients. Complete work in a timely manner as directed by your supervisor, this includes but is not limited to process, prepare, weigh, digest and analyse mineral and ore samples using a variety of techniques, procedures and instrumentation in accordance with documented procedures, GLP & ISO 17025. The role requires the successful applicant to work full-time on a rotating shift schedule (Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm or 10pm - 6am) - the applicant should be able and available to work all shifts. Shift work on weekend may be available to meet production demands. Key Responsibilities Ensure safety procedures are followed in accordance with Site, State and local guidelines Provide quality services to our clients in accordance with company policies and procedures Perform analysis accurately and within turnaround times required Perform maintenance and operational functions on the automated equipment as required Follow all documented procedures to ensure maintenance of quality accreditation Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of the sample station and sampling points Qualifications / Experience / Skills Previous geochemistry/minerals & environmental laboratory experience is desirable Laboratory certification is highly regarded Ability to work within a small team to achieve key objectives Strong organisational skills Ability to develop and implement appropriate procedures Computer literacy skills are required Culture Intertek is a global organisation which respects diverse perspectives, experiences and traditions as essential, and values each employee’s contribution towards achieving its business objectives.
