About the Role Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, the Technical Officer is responsible for maintaining, implementing, and continuously improving site quality and food safety systems. You will partner with production, warehouse, NPD and site leadership teams to ensure PMFresh products meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards. This role is critical to fostering a strong quality culture onsite, supporting audits, driving improvements, and providing hands‑on technical and quality support across the facility. Key Responsibilities Quality Systems & Food Safety Maintain site certification and compliance with customer, legislative and internal requirements. Implement and oversee the National Quality & Food Safety Management System (QMS). Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness. Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Team & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with Production, Technical, NPD and Warehouse teams to embed quality across site operations. Attend site meetings, communicate quality issues, and drive proactive food safety conversations. Deliver food safety and quality training to site team members. Technical Support Develop strong understanding of site manufacturing processes and conduct risk assessments. Support new product launches, trials and first production runs. Manage raw material and packaging quality, including supplier audits and evaluations. Ensure changes in regulations or standards are implemented accurately and promptly. Safety & Compliance Demonstrate and promote safe work practices at all times. Adhere to WHS requirements, use PPE correctly, and maintain relevant licences. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Microbiology, Food Science or similar. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QA/Technical role (food manufacturing preferred). Working knowledge of Australian Food Legislation and standards such as BRC, SQF, WQA or YUM. Experience in internal/supplier auditing and QMS management. Strong root cause analysis and problem‑solving capability. Personal Attributes Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
