We are seeking a Casual Commis Chef to join our Culinary Team. The successful candidate will be trained across both Breakfast Service and Banquets , with a minimum of 20 hours per week (Monday to Sunday). Job Requirements Strong understanding of standard cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment. Ability to follow recipes, prepare ingredients, and carry out basic cooking tasks efficiently. Experience with breakfast preparation, including batch cooking and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Ability to work effectively in a busy banquet environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and maintain an efficient workstation. Able to take direction from senior chefs (e.g., Sous Chef, Head Chef) while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Flexible and adaptable to the varying needs of both Banquets and à la carte service. Solid understanding of food safety standards and safe food-handling practices. Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, ensuring equipment, utensils, and surfaces meet hygiene standards. Punctual, reliable, and committed to consistent performance. Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting reasonable weights, especially when preparing large batches for banquets. Ability to remain calm, positive, and cooperative during busy or stressful periods. Understanding of banquet operations, including timing, coordination with front-of-house teams, and accommodating large group needs such as dietary requirements or buffet-style service. #J-18808-Ljbffr
