Lead, Experiential Learning & Employability Employment Type : Full-Time (35-hour week) Duration : Continuing Role Remuneration : $148K to $157K + 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading Location : Kensington NSW (Hybrid Flexible Working) The Lead, Experiential Learning plays a key role within the Employability team in the Pro Vice-Chair-Cancellor Student Success portfolio, collaboratively leading the development, scaling, and continuous improvement of career development and experiential learning opportunities, including Work Integrated Learning (WIL) offerings. Working closely with academics and professional staff, this role is central to advancing UNSW's commitment to graduate employability and future-ready skills by equipping students with the skills needed for the future workforce. Responsibilities Lead the development, scaling, and continuous improvement of career development and experiential learning opportunities, including WIL offerings. Collaborate with academics and professional staff to advance graduate employability and future-ready skills. Lead a team of three and report to the Head of Employability. Design, coordinate, or manage WIL courses. Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships in a client-delivery context. Manage student placement opportunities and partner relationships across local, regional, and global settings. Lead, motivate and develop a successful team through complex programs, projects, and initiatives. Effectively manage program-related risks and challenges. Strategically and operationally plan, prioritise, and lead staff, budget management, and respond to changing priorities while meeting competing deadlines. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience. Substantial experience working in an academic educational environment with demonstrated expertise and success in leading and managing best practice in the development and management of courses; experience in design, coordination, or management of WIL courses is desirable. Substantial experience in the management of internal and external stakeholder relationships in a client-delivery context. Proven experience in managing student placement opportunities and partner relationships across a variety of settings, including local, regional and global settings. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a successful team through complex programs, projects, and initiatives, and to effectively manage program-related risks and challenges. Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service focus and the demonstrated ability to proactively build effective internal and external working relationships and influence, persuade, negotiate, and liaise at all levels across and organisation to achieve successful outcomes. Demonstrated operational management experience including strategic and operational planning, priority setting, staff leadership, budget management and demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
