This role will work within a high-performing transformation team focused on uplifting legacy environments, modernising critical applications, and implementing secure, scalable, and compliant solutions. About the Opportunity You will play a key technical role in designing, developing and implementing enterprise-grade solutions across a series of complex ICT work packages. The ideal candidate brings strong architecture awareness, hands‑on engineering capability, and deep experience in secure government environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and implement complex technical solutions aligned to organisational and government standards Translate business and technical requirements into actionable architectures, specifications and integration plans Provide technical leadership across design, development and deployment phases Ensure all solutions meet standards for security, scalability, performance and accessibility Evaluate and modernise legacy systems, improving performance and reducing operational risk Troubleshoot technical issues and develop resolution strategies to minimise delivery disruptions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including program managers, delivery managers, architects and analysts Support continuous improvement and advise on emerging technologies relevant to secure government environments Skills & Experience Required 5+ years’ experience in solution engineering, system design or architecture Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps) Proven experience delivering scalable, secure and compliant solutions Proficiency in one or more programming languages Strong experience designing and integrating APIs Experience with enterprise systems, cloud platforms and database technologies Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) Understanding of government security and compliance frameworks (ISM, Essential Eight) Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) Cybersecurity certifications or hands‑on security experience Legacy application uplift, re‑hosting or modernisation experience Why Join Us?
