The role
Are you passionate about coordinating events and engaging with diverse stakeholders? The Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Events and Engagement Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of communication and event-related activities, ensuring the successful delivery of commercial, community, and BDA-produced events and venue support. You will play a crucial role in promoting BDA venues and supporting initiatives that align with our strategic priorities.
As an Events and Engagement Advisor, you will contribute to the development of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies, deliver high-quality communications, and participate in visitor experience activities. You will also manage event resources, review event-related submissions, and provide operational support of events. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-level communications advice, participating in improvement initiatives, and collaborating with corporate services functions.

What you will bring to the role
- Develop and implement effective communication and engagement strategies to balance multiple priorities and stakeholder interests.
- Manage the booking and operations of a range of events concurrently, ensuring timely delivery despite varying timelines and limited resources.
- Establish and maintain senior-level stakeholder relationships to facilitate optimal involvement in events.
- Support the Manager in delivering tasks on time, within budget, and to a high standard, while operating within legislative and regulatory provisions.
- Provide high-level communications advice across the project lifecycle, including risk mitigation and the design and delivery of external communications.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including corporate services functions, to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance team operational efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to the overall success of the BDA.

What is an essential requirement:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in the delivery of project stakeholder and community engagement and communications.
- Capacity to travel to Bradfield and Penrith, and to work outside of core business hours in the evening and on weekends as needed.
