The Role We’re seeking a high-performing Senior Bookkeeper who has worked in a bookkeeping or accounting practice, managing multiple client files and confidently handling all aspects of Australian bookkeeping. You’ll be working closely with our Client Account Managers to deliver full-service bookkeeping support across a portfolio of clients. You’ll handle everything from reconciliations and payroll to BAS prep, reporting, and day-to-day communication - always with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys building long-term relationships with clients and colleagues. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently in a remote setting but also enjoy being part of a collaborative and well-supported team. This is a long-term role with stable hours (30-35 hours per week), flexibility around your availability, and plenty of scope to grow and be a valued part of the team. Key Responsibilities End-to-end bookkeeping across a portfolio of clients Bank and credit card reconciliations Accounts payable and receivable Payroll processing in Xero (incl. STP, superannuation, leave management) BAS and IAS preparation (and potentially lodgement) Financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow) Working with Xero add-ons: Dext, Deputy, ServiceM8, Stripe, Square, etc. Managing tasks via Karbon and communicating clearly with clients and team About You 5+ years’ bookkeeping experience (with 3+ years in a practice) Experience managing multiple clients across various industries Strong proficiency in Xero, including payroll and reporting Solid understanding of Australian BAS, GST and payroll compliance A tech-savvy and organised approach to managing your workload Reside in Australia and with full work rights Hold a Certificate IV or higher in Bookkeeping or Accounting Desirable (but not essential) Experience using Karbon or other cloud-based practice tools Familiarity with budgeting, cashflow forecasting, or advisory reporting Apply Now Please include your CV and a short cover letter addressing: The types of clients and industries you've worked with Your experience with Xero and any relevant add-ons We're reviewing applications as they come in – we look forward to hearing from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
