Marine Applicator / Painter Favcote – specialised abrasive blasting and coating application with over 20 years of experience in marine applications; supporting the RAN fleet at Henderson. We have a team based at the BAE Systems yard in Henderson supporting the repairs and maintenance of ships. Job Summary Mechanical preparation and application of industrial coatings in the marine environment. Work independently or within a team, performing tasks as instructed in a safety and quality conscious manner. Deliver tasks on Defence assets to exacting specifications. Understand surface preparation and finishes. Mix and apply two‑part paint coatings to correct ratio. Select paints, varnishes and stains for various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers. Use Wet Film Thickness Gauges to achieve specified dry film thickness. Work at heights and in confined spaces; erect scaffolding and ladders. Clean equipment and work areas. Salary Between $75,000 and $80,000 per annum + Super. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications Previous blasting and painting experience (minimum 5 years). Experience in mixing and applying two‑pack epoxy paints. White Card CPCCWHS1001 / CPCCOHS1001A (Required). Certificate 3 in Fabrication (surface preparation) (advantageous). Current Working at Heights (Desired). EWP Licence (Desired). Job Type and Category Normal hours: 06:30 – 15:00 Monday to Thursday, 06:30 – 12:30 Friday. Options of weekend overtime available when requested by client. Job Type: Full Time.
