Senior Analyst – Strategic Intelligence ASIC invites applications for a Senior Analyst role within its Strategic Intelligence team. Job Details Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra Salary: from $152,074 depending on experience plus 15.4% superannuation Employment type: Permanent full-time Application deadline: 11:59 pm AEST Friday, 21 November 2025 Overview ASIC is Australia’s leading financial services regulator, seeking to maintain system integrity and protect consumers. The Senior Analyst will lead analysis to support leadership in prioritising focus areas and play a central role in developing and implementing the Intelligence Strategy. Responsibilities Drive the development and implementation of ASIC’s intelligence strategy and foster a strong intelligence culture. Analyse diverse data sets to create clear, actionable insights and present findings engagingly. Lead projects assessing strategic and emerging issues in regulated markets to inform ASIC’s priorities. Support people management within the SI team, promoting development and wellbeing. Monitor regulated financial markets to identify key developments and risks to consumers and market integrity. Collaborate with business, IT and analytics teams to design next‑generation data‑driven tools. Work across ASIC on multi‑disciplinary projects to deliver shared outcomes. Strengthen the Registry & Intelligence group’s influence and leadership across ASIC. Qualifications Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (intelligence analysis, finance, commerce) or equivalent senior‑level experience. Proven leadership in managing projects and mentoring teams within financial services, regulation, government or business. Strong understanding of financial markets and regulatory implications. Advanced qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, including data manipulation expertise. Demonstrated project management capability with strong conceptual, analytical and resource allocation skills. Excellent communication skills, experienced in presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
