How You’ll Make Your MarkYour main tasks in this role are:As an expert on food packaging, you will support the implementation of the international packaging goals of the ALDI SÜD Group in the areas of recyclability, recycled content and reduction of the proportion of virgin plasticCommunicating and cooperating with packaging suppliers along the packaging value chain are part of your tasksYou will work closely with the purchasing departments and product suppliers to support the introduction of sustainable food packagingYou are interested in dairy products, chilled convenience products, fresh meat, bakery products, coffee, spreads or cerealsYou will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and identifying possible solutions in the field of recyclable packaging for food productsAs an expert in the field of food packaging, you will support the harmonisation and optimisation of product packaging, taking into account legal developments and sustainability obligations, with a focus on food packagingCoordinating and working independently with cross-functional teams on basic tasks is part of your responsibilitiesYou are interested in interpreting and analysing data and specifications in the field of packagingPreparing presentations is one of your tasksYour ProfileThe requirements oft he role include: You have 2-5 years of professional experience and expertise in the field of retail, sourcing, or food packaging. Ideally, you have knowledge of retail industry, primary packaging materials for food, packaging sustainability and packaging related EU regulationsYou bring with you passion for change, willingness to work hard, never give up attitude You are resourceful and have great communication skills, experienced in stakeholder management and problem-solving skillsA Career that Benefits YouOur benefits for you are wide-ranging:6 weeks of annual leave every year for allA range of subsidised childcare support optionsOptions to work remotely - from home or anywhere within Austria (up to 13 days per month), and from abroad (up to 30 days per year, selected countries)Mobile devices provided to enable flexible workingRelocation support (including visas/permits, home search and moving allowance)Free and subsidised healthy food and drinks provided at workSubsidised public transportBike leasing program to save up to 20% on bike costs to encourage sustainable transport and improve affordabilityDiscounts on a wide range of shopping in the categories like fashion, travel, sports and many moreAll the training you need to excel in your roleExtensive personal and professional developmentHigh level of responsibility in a diverse and international business environmentCollaboration with teams across bordersRemunerationGross annual salary starting from 52,700.-*
