Senior Staff Product Definition Engineer

In your new role you will:Identify application trends and future requirements from customer discussions and internal system expertsDrive the assessment of different innovative product ideas and by that influence our product roadmaps directlyBe part of product development projects for discrete products targeting on board charger applicationsBe responsible for defining the right-fit product requirements, derive the target datasheet and be the internal technical interface to the product development teams in R&D and customers in creation phaseDevelop and coordinate projects in the area of performance benchmarking of our product performance in the application Drive activities from design-in to design-win at lead automotive customers developing charger applications used in electric vehiclesConduct intensive technical discussions with the customer, coordinate requirements and support successful product validation in system designManage uncertainties in early development phases and contribute with solid assumptions to drive innovative solutions forwardValidate functional prototypes and simulation models of our productsClosely collaborate with our regional field application (FAE) engineering teamsTechnically lead and support team membersYour profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:A degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, physics or a related fieldAt least 5 years of professional experience in the power electronics (automotive, industrial, consumer) in the semiconductor industry or at a research institute (e.g. in Application Engineering, System Engineering, Hardware Development, Technical Marketing)Experience in setting up and running tests for power componentsCompetence on power technologies such as SiC MOSFETs or IGBTsKnow-how in the creation of collaterals such as technical articles, presentations containing complex technical content and addressing solutionsEmbrace innovative thinking and being open mindedPractical experience in working as a project team memberVery good communication and presentation skills in English, German as a plusWe offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H (). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a.
