Our client, located in the Vienna catchment area, is dedicated to producing high-quality prescription drugs for supplying them worldwide. The company owners are expanding its Austrian biotech manufacturing site dynamically with the aim of ensuring the long-term availability of its products and developing them further for the benefit of current and future patients.
As of now the company is seeking a hands-on, driven and experienced manufacturing plant leader to fill the following business critical position with growth perspectives:
Head of Biotech Production (Plant) (f/m/x)
Lead and further develop on site the biotechnological production processes in terms of value streams and resource allocations
Plan, head and support the bio-manufacturing teams (4 shifts) actively - including taking care of their resource requirements and resource gaps
Guarantee for and control the production supply on site with your thorough technical understanding
Initiate and lead strategical changes in the manufacturing processes (e.g. implementation of potential new and optimized technologies)
Conduct financial analysis of manufacturing and product portfolio together with the relevant departments
Support the site production management by taking over well-defined production management tasks with direct reporting line to the "Site Head of Production (f/m/x)"
A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as biotechnology, biology, biochemistry or immunology
Thorough and proven experience as a manufacturing lead in pharmaceutical API or DS manufacturing
Broad understanding of the manufacturing processes with a high level of practical expertise in GMP
Good technical understanding of manufacturing equipment in Biotech and synth. Strong project management skills: able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Very good command of English (oral and written) and German (C2/B1 upwards - ready to further develop on the shopfloor)
