We are currently seeking a Team Leader â Water Resources NSW with proven experience managing teams or an individual ready for the challenge of a team leader role.
In addition to the team leadership responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to deliver a variety of water resource projects delivering innovative solutions to local & state government and private sector clients.

The Opportunity
As a member of KBRâs Water Resources team in NSW you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of challenging projects. You will contribute to the success of KBRâs National Water Resources team by being responsible for leading and growing (in terms of capacity and technical capability) the NSW Water Resources team including junior staff and highly experienced professionals. Your team will conduct a range of water resources projects including hydrological and hydraulic investigation and design for a wide range of studies including rural and urban flood studies, transport and mine infrastructure, floodplain management, water balance modelling, stormwater management and mine water management.
They will also produce technical models and reports to a high standard, contributing to KBRâs reputation for the delivery of quality project outputs.
You will build strong relationships with your team members, other disciplines, clients, and KBRâs leadership team. You will contribute to budgets and plans, management of stakeholders and interaction with regulatory authorities.Â
You will work with a national group of highly regarded industry practitioners who value technical expertise and innovation. You will apply practical on-the-ground problem solving and engineering solutions and work with our clients collaboratively to deliver successful outcomes.

We are looking for a skilled and passionate technical professional who wants to continue to progress their career and lead and grow a team of professionals.
You will have the following skills and experience,
Hold an accredited bachelorâs degree in engineering or related field
10 â 15 yearsâ local experience on Water Resources projects
Experience in numerical modelling (hydrology, hydraulics and groundwater), including TUFLOW, RORB, XP-RAFTS, HEC-RAS, MUSIC, GOLDSIM and solid experience with GIS applications (QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo)
Experience in preparation of bid budgets, writing proposals and business development activities would be highly regarded
Knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local legislation, regulatory frameworks, guidelines and policies, and experience applying it to achieve practical outcomes in the field of water resources in Australia
Chartered professional engineer (CPEng) or ability to achieve this status in 6 months of starting
