As our Manufacturing & Capital Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our two factory sites and capital spend.

This is a pivotal role, where you’ll collaborate closely with factory management and engineering teams to develop and execute financial strategies that optimize performance, enhance profitability, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Our ideal candidate will have a blend of financial expertise, strategic thinking and a drive for operational results to support our delivery of superior pet food products.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop annual budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans for each factory site, aligning with overall company objectives such as capital investments and projects.
  • Partner with factory leadership teams to provide financial insights on performance and support decision-making on operational investments, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
  • Analyses cost trends, investigates variances, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and performance dashboards for factory management and corporate leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GAAP and local tax regulations, by maintaining accurate records and facilitating audits as needed.
  • Establish and maintain robust cost accounting systems to accurately track manufacturing costs and the accurate calculation of intercompany pricing.
  • Partner with the Engineering team to provide input on capital projects including financial reporting, business case reviews to assess the ROI and strategic alignment of proposed projects, management of CAB spend and governance of internal controls.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive co-piloting experience in finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using a range of accounting software, advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerBI
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
