Brisbane Metropolitan Competition Coordinator

The Brisbane Metro Competition Coordinator role will work closely with WPQ employees to ensure the effective coordination, planning, management, delivery, and oversight of all aspects of the Brisbane Metro Junior Competition acting as the primary point of contact on competition days/evenings.

Key Responsibilities    

General competition administration and game day coordination

  • Plan and execute all aspects game day competition coordination for the Brisbane Metropolitan Competition. Including but not limited to: 
    • Administer the Brisbane Metropolitan Competition on Revolutionise. 
    • Check player eligibility and registration checks for all age groups.
    • Coordinate and facilitate online game day management and ensure results are entered and uploaded.
    • Actively communicate with Clubs, Schools, and Teams.
    • Communicate scheduling changes or in the case of inclement weather and evaluate alternatives.
    • Administer the team nomination and registration process. 

Draws and Game Cards

  • Prepare competition draws and revisions through Revolutionise.

Referee and Pool Coordinator coordination

  • Work with the Referee Coordinator to facilitate the allocation and game day coordination of Pool Coordinators (PCs) across all venues. 

Key Skills, Experience & Attributes

Qualifications and Licences:

  • Qualifications and background in sports administration and/or competition coordination is desirable.
  • Valid Paid Blue Card (or the ability to acquire).
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates (or the ability to acquire).

Experience:

  • Previous experience in competition administration and game day facilitation.
  • Knowledge and experience in stakeholder management and working with staff and volunteers.
  • Experience in coordinating and allocating officials is desirable.
  • Experience with online competition management and/or financial management programs.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound computer literacy skills and working with Office 365 programs. 
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong people management skills. 
  • Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills.
