Reporting to the Director of Sport, you will support the School’s football program with a strong focus on organising the structure and calendar of training, fixtures, and tournaments. Additionally, you will ensure efficient and organised fixturing, rostering, timesheet management, team selection, HR support and data entry aligning with the School’s strategic intentions. The Head of Football is responsible for growing and improving the football program by offering excellent coaching, coach support, and programming.

This is a permanent, part-time (0.6 FTE) commencing in January 2025. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate fixturing for all football activities, ensuring smooth operation of training, fixtures, and tournaments.
  • Manage casual coach rosters and ensure timely submission of timesheets.
  • Oversee team selection processes and ensure accurate data entry for all football activities.
  • Liaise with the Director of Sport to align the football program with the School’s sports development plan.
  • Oversee the calendar program for football and liaise with the sport administration team to ensure there are no conflicts and efficient scheduling.
  • Regularly liaise with parent support groups to foster community involvement and support.
  • Assist in budget management, including responsibility for approving timesheets.

About You

  • Relevant Football/ AFL coaching certifications from recognised associations (e.g., AFL Level 2 Coaching Accreditation).
  • Proven experience in coaching AFL at various levels, including school, club, or representative level.
  • Hold current Working with Children Check.
  • Hold a current police clearance dated within the last 6 months. 
  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). 
  • Respect the values, traditions and Anglican ethos of the School.
