Responsibilities
  • Analyze market size, trends, and growth prospects, emphasizing the role of EU programme components.
  • Market Forecasting
    • Use economic modeling techniques to predict market trends and future developments.
  • Value Chain Research
    • Examine market value chains, identifying key categories and stakeholders.
  • Industry Structure and Geographic Analysis
    • Assess industry structure and market share distribution by geographic area.
  • Development of Market Monitoring and Forecasting Models
    • Enhance and maintain the EUSPA Market Monitoring and Forecasting Process (MMFP) and the Market Monitoring and Forecasting Tool (MMFT).
  • Expansion of Market Forecasting Capabilities
    • Refine and extend MMFP/MMFT to cover new market segments and applications.
  • Implementation of Forecasting Models
    • Validate input data, assess different scenarios, and generate comprehensive reports and forecasts.
  • Market Reporting
    • Prepare periodic EUSPA Market Reports summarizing key findings and insights.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA)
    • Perform cost-benefit analyses, including assessing the impact of EU programme component evolution.
  • Support for EU Space Strategy Implementation
    • Assist in the implementation of the EC Space Strategy for Europe and the Space Regulation, focusing on consumer and environmental market segments.
Requirements
  • Experience in Market Analysis
    • Proven experience in analyzing market trends, structures, and economic factors influencing industry development.
  • Expertise in Economic Modeling
    • Strong background in economic forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and market modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis
    • Experience in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets for market research purposes.
  • Knowledge of EU Programmes
    • Familiarity with EU space programs, policies, and their impact on various market segments.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in analytical tools, forecasting software, and database management for market monitoring.
  • Strong Communication and Reporting Skills
    • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear reports and present findings effectively.
  • Understanding of Policy and Regulatory Frameworks
    • Knowledge of European regulations and policy-making processes related to space and market monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for working with international stakeholders.
