Business Development & Customer Relations Manager

What we are looking for

KTI loves developing long-term relationships with new clients, helping them bed into our systems, working with them through issues, and growing with them along the way. We have many existing clients who we value greatly, and these clients deserve the best KTI experience we can give them; your part of that would be developing a relationship with them. Experience within the logistics sector is needed so that you will have a good understanding of the business, contacts in the marketplace, and how things work in this industry.

The role (but not limited to)

  • Develop a sales and customer service focused hub within KTI improving our processes, building teamwork, and a positive culture.
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships by providing ongoing consultation and service, while promoting KTI's core values, delivering credibility for KTI in the marketplace, promoting client retention and growth.
  • Generate new business through industry contacts, networking, and cold calling specifically in areas directed by Management for profile building opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation on all clients and prospects.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth transition of new accounts or changes to current clients' needs, implementing standard operating procedures to resolve any operational issues with clients.
  • Use effective communication approaches that include proactively keeping others informed, appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form.
  • Keep abreast of trends and innovative sales techniques in an effort to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Adhere to all KTI's policies and safe work procedures.
  • Support other areas of the business with your industry experience and knowledge.
  • Other projects and duties as requested by Chief Operating Officer.
