PROJECT COORDINATOR - Fitout, Refurbishment & New build Construction

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our clients Construction Project Management team.
As Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, profitable and timely management of projects, supporting both on-site activities and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Assist in creating detailed project schedules and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and organize project documentation, contracts, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Budget & Resource Tracking: Help track project budgets, manage procurement processes, and monitor resource allocation.
  • Site Visits: Support site managers in ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify issues, resolve conflicts, and find solutions to keep projects on track.
Key qualifications and requirements:
  • Degree/diploma in a building-related field or equivalent experience, Construction Management and Economics degree preferable.
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role with a head contractor or fitout contractor either in a Project Coordinator / CA / Cadet role.
  • Understanding of contemporary building practices and contracts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and construction management software.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
