The Role:

As our Business Development Manager, you'll be the driving force behind securing long-term event contracts and major partnerships across Brisbane, SEQ, and nationally. You'll be on the ground, meeting clients face-to-face, negotiating contracts, and ensuring we remain the preferred event hire supplier for Australia's biggest and best events.

Your mission? Expand our brand, win major deals, and ensure our event equipment is maximized all year round

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Identify & secure multi-year event contracts across SEQ and Australia
  2. Develop strategic relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and festival organizers
  3. Conduct face-to-face meetings & site visits to close deals and maintain strong partnerships
  4. Use HubSpot CRM to manage leads, pipeline, and data-driven sales strategies
  5. Negotiate contracts & sponsorship deals to position Range Event Hire as a market leader
  6. Collaborate with operations & marketing teams to ensure seamless event execution
  7. Attend networking events, conferences, and industry expos to build brand presence
  8. Travel to key client locations & events to drive national expansion

Who We're Looking For:

  • A proven sales hunter with a track record of winning high-value contracts
  • Strong negotiation & relationship-building skills – you love closing deals and building long-term partnerships
  • Experience in the event industry, B2B sales, or hospitality sector (preferred but not essential)
  • Self-motivated & proactive – you don't wait for leads, you create them
  • Tech-savvy with experience in HubSpot CRM (or willing to learn)
  • Willingness to travel – this role will take you across Brisbane, SEQ, and interstate
  • Excellent time management & ability to work autonomously
