The Department of Civil Law is looking to fill two positions as university assistant ("prae doc")with Univ.
Prof. Dr. Christiane Wendehorst, LL.M. (Cantab.) starting 1 August 2023.


The employment contract for prae doc assistants is initially limited to 1.5 years and will be automatically extended to a total of 3 years, unless the employer declares non-renewal after 12 months at the latest.

An extension for another year (to a total of 4 years) is possible.

You can expect a dedicated team that deals in research and teaching with civil law in its entire breadth and its corporate law aspects and very specifically with current legal issues and developments in the field of digitalization (e.g. current issues regarding artificial intelligence, data economics, platform regulation, data protection).

The willingness to actively contribute to larger research and publication projects as well as to the preparation of courses in a team is required.

Excellent command of German and English is required, knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage.

Duration of employment: 3 year/s

Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
