IN A NUTSHELL
In this role you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of earned media for motorsports at Red Bull.

Your overarching goal will be to grow brand attribution by engaging new and existing media globally and managing the motorsports Social Opinion Leader program.

You'll curate storylines and activate globally relevant hero moments, supporting Communication Managers in country markets to achieve high quality earned media impact in motorsports.


MOTORSPORTS COMMUNICATION


You'll Develop comprehensive communications plans across all motorsports series, projects and formats as well as identifying earned opportunities complimentary to programming, content, and social strategy.

Together with your colleagues form the Owned Programming and Media Services teams you'll implement Search Optimized Communication (SOC).

The aim is to improve page rank and lead consumers to Red Bull Owned Channels with increased mentions and links to content found on Red Bull TV.


PROJECT MANAGEMENT


As Communication Manager, you'll ensure that communication strategies are set out from the beginning of any project, clearly identifying the key hook / storyline for media that encourages them to talk about the brand.

You'll create earned media briefings for projects that are clear and easily understandable for all stakeholders, and you'll establish the key milestones that take series', events, or content formats from concept to high quality, quantifiable earned outcome.

By overseeing and tracking project budgets on a yearly basis, you'll prioritize projects and initiatives that hold the highest return on investment and complement the work being done within the Motorsports Network.

Last but not least you'll manage relationships with the motorsports marketing team, particularly the Motorsports Media Activation Managers to ensure all stakeholders are aligned, understand, and support the earned media strategy for projects on both global and country levels.


SOCIAL OPINION LEADERS


In this position you'll establish the Social Opinion Leader (SOL) strategy for motorsports, working with key motorsports markets to identify the most relevant personalities to attract entry point consumers globally.

Also, you'll bring a new focus to earned social opportunities by identifying storylines and content that speaks to new and younger consumers.


COUNTRY GUIDANCE


As Communication Manager you'll identify motorsports content opportunities that can be amplified globally, and you'll work closely with country counterparts to create an agreed communications plan that outlines clear deliverables.

You'll uplevel country media opportunities with coaching and share knowledge with best practices on a consistent basis.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • University degree in communications, media, digital or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a communications/ public relations professional in Communications, PR, Marketing, medialed companies, or a professional motorsports environment
  • Deep understanding of and interest in Motorsports and a strong understanding of the global media landscape and current media trends
  • Ideally experience with project management in an international environment and strong stakeholder management & communication skills
  • An agile team player that knows how to get the work done, adaptive, well organized, motivated, and openminded
