Job Description:
The Unmanned Aircraft pilot will be part of the Flight Test Team and supports all flight activities related to the prototype, UA used to demonstrate the unique features of the propulsion system based on CycloRotors.
- Be a pilot in charge of the flight demonstrator during flight test campaigns
- Support in preparation of flight test programs, incl. risks/hazard identification and mitigation strategies
- Preparation of relevant processes and procedures
- Contribute to the postprocessing of flight test data
- Contribute to the optimization of the vehicle, in particular, the Flight Control System
- Contribute to the tests of hardware and software components related to the Flight Control System
- Contribute to the documentation of the flight test campaign and test results
- Support as Interface for readiness of UA for flight test activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Technology
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a UA pilot and indepth expertise in the relevant technologies and trends in the UA and UAS field
- Experience working in a flighttesting environment, executing flight test campaigns as part of a team.
- Experience working with UA and UAS fields that fall under specific category
- Drone pilot competency certificate in subcategories A1, A3, and A2 (EASA regulation)
- Fluent communication in English
- Experience with flight testing of aviation products or experience with certification testing is desirable
- Knowledge of certification requirements, e.g., DO178C is an advantage
- Experience with a variety of UAS platforms would be a plus
- Selfreliance, reliability, punctuality, accurate and conscientious way of working
- Strong motivation and ability to work in a team
