Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for an
Operations Strategy Lead - Product to join our
Operations Business Office.

This is a hybrid role split between the manufacturing facility in Steyr, Austria, UK and remote working.


This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding Operations Business Office at a crucial and exciting time for the business as it continues to scale.

The role offers variety, autonomy and opportunities to work on essential topics which are critical to the company's success long term.


What you will do


Working within the Operations Business Office, the role will act as a strategic counterpart to product management and help support the development of an organisation that ensures customer-oriented product portfolio planning.

The role is heavily cross-functional and be working on strategic projects at the intersection of operations functions such as procurement, cost engineering, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and quality.


  • Own operations strategy support of key projects across various business functions including Product
  • Develop management decisionmaking material including financial assessments and crossfunctional data gathering
  • Work closely and collaboratively with senior leaders across Procurement, Product & Manufacturing helping steer projects developing and assessing scenarios, supporting sourcing and nomination decisions for specific projects
  • Develop and maintain a framework for competitive benchmarking i.e., innovations and technology and features

We would like you to have

  • Technical degree
  • Business, Economics, Engineering discipline is desirable
  • Ability to gather, manipulate data and create effective reporting and scenario analysis
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management experience/ability
  • Previous experience within the automotive industry would be highly advantageous (OEM or supplier)
  • Proven strategic project management experience in a collaborative and crossfunctional working environment
