Job Description

Course Offerings:
  • Fundamentals of Microbiology with Lab (BIOS-242): Covering essential concepts of microbiology, focusing on medically significant microorganisms and infections. Includes studying microscopy, microbial growth, genetics, antimicrobial agents, epidemiology, and immune responses to pathogens. Hands-on lab work comprises aseptic techniques, microorganism isolation and culture, microscopy, and staining techniques.
  • Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab (BIOS-251 thru BIOS-256): A comprehensive four-course series studying human anatomy and physiology through a body systems approach. Emphasizes the relationship between form and function at both gross and microscopic levels. Topics include various body systems like muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, immune, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems.

Our courses, conducted once or twice a week, blend face-to-face interactions with technology for an enriched learning experience. Each course runs for eight weeks, and a commitment is required on a course-by-course basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver approved course syllabus in accordance with campus guidelines.
  • Organize, prepare, and update all course materials regularly.
  • Utilize appropriate online technologies for course delivery.
  • Model effective communication to engage students and enhance learning.
  • Establish clear course expectations and evaluation criteria.
  • Ensure exam content aligns with course objectives and provide timely feedback.
  • Perform assigned duties and adhere to all policies and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a master's or doctorate degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the field of instruction.
  • Demonstrate a natural aptitude for teaching and a genuine passion for education.
  • Exhibit excellent subject matter expertise and communication skills.
  • Show eagerness to support students and colleagues with care and respect.
  • Operate with a strong work ethic and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively, appreciate diverse perspectives, and prioritize teamwork.
  • Provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from an accredited institution.
Additional Information:

Chamberlain University is offering a visiting professor position in various campuses. The compensation for this role ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment based on education and experience, in compliance with pay transparency laws.
