JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about managing kitchen operations and leading a team? Our company is looking for a Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen utility operations and staff. As a Kitchen Manager, your responsibilities will include managing dish room operations, night cleaning, maintenance, banquet plating, and food running. You will supervise kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking, such as dishwashers and kitchen helpers, to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards while striving to improve guest and employee satisfaction within the operating budget.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area; OR
  • 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing Day-to-Day Operations
    • Orders and manages necessary supplies
    • Schedules events, programs, and activities
    • Conducts inventories and inspects supplies, equipment, and work areas
    • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, food handling, and sanitation standards
    • Monitors employee performance and enforces cleaning routines
  • Leading Kitchen Team
    • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
    • Supervises and manages employees while setting performance expectations
    • Celebrates successes and encourages mutual trust and cooperation among team members
    • Participates in managing expenses and improving service performance
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
    • Attends meetings and communicates to improve service quality
    • Emphasizes guest satisfaction and continuous improvement
  • Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities
    • Provides guidance, recruits, trains, and promotes employees
    • Reviews satisfaction results, ensures disciplinary procedures, and administers property policies
