Die Arbeitsgruppe Geoökologie sucht ab sofort eine*n Projektmitarbeiter*in für Vegetationskartierungen, Dateneingabe und Digitalisierung im Projekt "Erhalt und Wiederherstellung der Biodiversität von Mooren Österreichs".
- Das Institut für Geographie und Regionalforschung ist Teil der Fakultät für Geowissenschaften, Geographie und Astronomie. Es ist das größte und älteste Geographieinstitut Österreichs und vertritt das Fach in seiner ganzen Breite.**Dauer der Befristung**: 8 Monat/e
- **Beschäftigungsausmaß**:20 Stunden/Woche.
- Einstufung gemäß Kollektivvertrag: -48 VwGr. C
- Darüber hinaus können anrechenbare Berufserfahrungen die Einstufung und damit das Entgelt bestimmen.

**Ihre Aufgaben**:
Assistenz bei botanischen, vegetations
- und landschaftsökologischen Kartierungen von Mooren in Österreich in der Freilandsaison von April bis November 2023, wobei der letzte Monat für Nacharbeitungen in Anspruch genommen wird. Die Feldarbeit findet in sieben Bundesländern, in 34 Bezirken Österreichs statt. Zu den Aufgaben gehören neben der Datenerfassung vor Ort (Arten, Abundanz, Struktur, etc.) die Dateneingabe, Digitalisierung und Dokumentation sowie bedarfsweise Nachbestimmung von Moosarten mittels Mikroskopie.

**Ihr Profil**:

- Abgeschlossene AHS/BHS (Matura)
- Artenkenntnisse: Sie besitzen grundlegende, im Idealfall fundierte Kenntnisse der heimischen Flora und haben bereits Erfahrungen mit der Bestimmung von Gefäßpflanzen und Moosen gemacht.
- Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit zur Arbeit im Gelände bei jedem Wetter und auch außerhalb üblicher Büroarbeitszeiten; ausreichende körperliche Fitness, um im gebirgigen Gelände auch bei widrigen Wetterbedingungen über mehrere Stunden (zu Fuß) unterwegs zu sein.
- Der Umgang mit wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter*innen und Studierenden der Arbeitsgruppe erfordert Teamfähigkeit, Kommunikationsfähigkeit und Organisationstalent.
- Hohe Motivation, selbständiges Arbeiten, gute mündliche und schriftliche Ausdrucksfähigkeit

Weiters ist wünschenswert:

- Erfahrungen in ökologischen Methoden, wie Biotopkartierung, Landschaftsanalyse, ArcGIS-Digitalisierung, Kartographie, etc.
- Ein abgeschlossener Bachelor im Bereich Naturwissenschaften
- Führerschein Klasse B
