As part of the international Erste Group, we are an attractive employer who offers interesting career opportunities.- Audit Markets and Central Functions Department is responsible for performing Audits in all entities part of Erste Group (including Savings Banks, CEE Group entities, foreign branches, functional subsidiaries).

A number of Austrian Savings Banks part of Erste Group outsourced the internal audit resposibilities to Group Audit.- Your Tasks- Organize and perform audits in the area of HR and BWG/CRR/CRD Compliance.


  • The focus of Audits is on the processes and controls in the areas:
  • Strategy, Governance and Outsourcing Governance
  • CRR/CRD requirments in the area of HR
  • BWG Compliance
  • Project management and change management (RtB, CtB)
  • During the Audit work you will be responsible to develop or tailor audit programs based on common audit standards,
- carry out and properly document audit tests using modern audit techniques (e.g. data analytics),
- prepare Audit Reports and
- define and reconcile findings and recommendations.

  • To focus on covering relevant Audit universe of EBOe and Austrian Savings banks part of Erste Group
  • To participate in joint audits together with IT auditors.
  • Your Background
  • Experience in audit/ focus areas of minimum 5 years or more. We expect an University Degree and practical experience.
  • You are a specialist in one or more of the following fields:
  • Audit, BWG/CRR/CRD Compliance
  • Governance of subsidiaries
  • Banking groups processes and organizational structure
  • HR processes
  • You are willing to cooperate in a team with other auditors also with members of different subsidiaries in the group and Savings Banks
- communicate well in critical situations.

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
  • CIA or other relevant certifications
  • To support joint audits between business and IT, knowledge of the retail banking business and internal governance is appreciated.
