DHL Air (Austria) GmbH is a new cargo airline founded in 2021, and is a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) Group.

The prime focus of the airline is to operate for the EU network with a fleet of Boeing 757 aircraft.

The headquarters of the airline is located in Vienna, main crew base is currently in Leipzig, delivering our customer promise of Excellence.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The position directly reports to the Flight Crew Training Senior Supervisor (FCTSS) and Director Flight Crew Training (DFCT) in the absence of FCTSS.
  • The Flight Crew Training Supervisor (FCTS) supports the Director Flight Crew Training (DFCT), the Chief Flight Instructors (CFI) and the Chief Ground Instructor (CGI) and Flight Crew Training Senior Supervisor (FCTSS).
  • The FCTS administrates the Flight Crew Training Department to ensure the completion of the flight crew training in the most effective way.
  • Coordinating all questions and matters relating to training.
  • Liaising with the Director Flight Crew training (DFCT), Flight Crew Training Senior Supervisor (FCTSS), Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) and Chief Ground Instructor (CGI) to coordinate training requirements with operation necessities.
  • Liaising with all training staff to ensure personal support and communication at regular intervals.

YOUR TASKS:

  • The arrangement of initial and recurrent training and checking required for the staff to perform their duties competently.
  • Preparation of longterm SIM planning by assigning crews/instructors and booking SIM capacity.
  • Liaising with external training providers and planning training at subcontracted organizations.
  • Organizing and scheduling of the annual Ground Courses and CRM training.
  • Providing administrative support to DFCT, CFI, CGI and FCTSS.
  • Ensuring the required standards of the training material.
  • Administer LMS & QMS / Follow up of due dates for the Computer Based Training (CBTs).
  • Validation, recognition and administration of:
  • Training staff certificates.
  • CAA approvals.
  • Simulator approvals.
  • Crew license, medical and checks expiry dates.
  • Other documents required for the operation.
  • Support generating monthly training reports for Safety, Finance, as required by DFCT.
  • Providing all necessary training information to crew members and staff.
  • Development and implementation of coherent training policies, training programs and new training syllabi.
  • Preparation, development and amendment of Flight Crew Training documentation and training material.
  • Control and administration of Flight Crew Training documentation and training material.
  • Liaising with the National Aviation Authority (ACG), if required.
  • Contract review of training providers.
  • Support the management to prepare Audits for Flight Crew Training.
  • Supporting on establishing KPI and SPI for Flight Crew Training.
  • Scheduling of assessments and simulator screenings.
  • Support conversion plans (Phase In, Phase Out) to ensure adequate training of flight crews.

PROFILE:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience on similar role in commercial flight operations.
  • Profound knowledge with applicable regulation and procedures.
  • Computer skills with:
  • Microsoft Office suit (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams).
  • Webmanuals.
  • Very good knowledge of English language (spoken and written).
  • Team player with good communication and integrator skills.
  • Competent in analysis, prioritization and coordination.
  • Problemsolving capability.
  • High level of motivation and loyalty.
  • Attention to detail & quality.
  • Pleasant, empathetic, approachable, openminded personality.
  • Professional and neat appearance.
  • EU citizenship, or Residence and Work Permit for Austria.
