At the Institute of Logic and Computation, in the Research Unit of Knowledge Based Systems TU Wien is offering a position as Senior Program Manager (all genders) limited to expected 6 years for 20 hours/week. Starting in October weekly hours will be raised to 30 hours/week.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Collaboration in the redesign and further development of training programmes within the the framework of the CoE with a focus on the target group of doctoral students
  • Independent planning, organisation and preparation of the training programmes incl. coordination of joint courses (at TU Wien, JKU, TU Graz, IST, WU and Klagenfurt), booking of teaching rooms and administration of student requests
  • Independent organisational and administrative activities such as handling the courses including coordination and implementation of the application and admission procedure as well as supervision of guest lecturers and organisation of summer schools, etc.
  • Counselling and support for students in visa matters and in arranging internships
  • Evaluation and quality control of programme offerings and regular review of quality standards, including documentation of processes and regulations of the training programme and collection of quantitative data
  • Drawing up budgets and ensuring that the budget is adhered to in consultation with the divisional management

  • Active communication and information interface with participants, lecturers and internal and external cooperation partners and stakeholders

  • Excellent English (oral and writing), and very good German
  • Communication skills
  • Management / organization experience

Entry level salary is determined by the level IVA of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 1,633.10/month gross, 14 times/year for 20 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
