Senior Demand Planner - Part Time - 3 Days Per Week
The business
Our client are a 50 year old family owned food manufacturing business, selling through to all major channels (Retail Grocery & Food Service). Due to a recent re-shuffle we are seeking an experience Demand Planner to join the team on a part time bases, 3 days a week.

The role:
This is a senior role in the business and will have you working with a small team of Procurement professionals to take control, develop and maintain demand planning and requirements for the fast paced FMCG business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain demand forecasting models based on historical data, industry trends, and customer input covering a rolling 18-month horizon for all items in the business portfolio.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to gather and analyse data on market trends, customer demand, and product performance.
- Ensure that the Sales team are aligned with the Demand Plan and development of monthly forecasts
- Collaborate with the Retail & Food Service team and their Key customers to align forward plans (promotions, seasonality, events) at both the demand and sales plan levels.
- Ensure that the plan is correctly shared by the Procurement team with the supply chain partners across manufacturing sites.
- Utilise forecasting tools and techniques to predict Storage demands & Costs on business.
- Identify and address potential demand and supply issues proactively.
- Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making process.
- Maintain satisfactory inventory holding in line with approved targets.
Key Experience needed:
- Solid Demand Planning background in an FMCG environment (ideally gained within a food manufacturing environment) and tertiary qualifications relevant to supply chain or manufacturing systems will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience with NetSuite Essential
- Advanced Excel skills.
- You'll already have what it takes to manage data, putting your analytical skills to use, whilst also refining and improving processes.
- Thorough and detailed, with a high level of relationship building and influencing skills.
- Keen eye for detail and process improvement mindset, you'll be able to spot growth opportunities and proactively manage risks.
- Strong sense of urgency and decisiveness.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to work with senior management to help restructure and train existing team, mentoring, and supporting change management process
- Strong interpersonal and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
