Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and oversee the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. As an Operations Manager at Striking Constructions, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning to final delivery. You will be responsible for managing resources and ensuring that every job is executed efficiently and effectively.
This is an office based role in Greensborough.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding of the construction process in order to collaborate with sub-contractors to estimate project costs, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
- Create and monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-effective measures to optimize project profitability.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and cost estimates. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Working with project managers to develop job timelines & schedules to ensure materials & contractors are booked in advance.
- Tracking of safety documentation through 1Breadcrumb.
Qualifications:
- Process/Task driven with strong computer skills.
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager, with a track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion.
- High level of organisation
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in operations management
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
