What We Do
Executive Search Analysts are responsible for supporting the research phase of the executive recruiting lifecycle. This particular role will focus on supporting the Global Industrial Practice in Melbourne. Reporting to a senior member of the Search team, the Analyst will be responsible for identifying candidates, preparing client reports and ensuring all data is accurately captured in H&S systems.
An integral part of the Analyst’s role will be to conduct in-depth research on candidates, clients and industries, contributing to the initial phase of candidate assessment based on client requirements. The Analyst will also support business development activities as needed.
While learning the Search industry, the Analyst will invest significant time in researching and learning about various industries, executive roles and functions. Not only will they gain exposure to Search Partners and Principals, they will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the globe in sharing ideas and best practices.
The Analyst role carries significant responsibility in the executive search process and offers the opportunity for high impact. As part of this role, the Analyst will receive world-class training and mentorship in an apprenticeship-style method, paving the way for career growth and advancement on a well-defined path within H&S.
Role Responsibilities
Research & Writing:
- industry research to gain comprehensive understanding of the Client Company, their industry and the position requirements.
- prospective candidates through targeted company research, relevant prior searches and using Heidrick’s proprietary systems and methodologies.
- biographical summaries of candidate profiles as part of the preparation of status reports for presentation to Clients.
Internal and External Communication:
- to multiple engagements, candidate pipelines and the needs of multiple internal stakeholders.

Ethics & Quality:
- Maintaining the accuracy, quality, and integrity of all Search information in our various internal and external research tools.

- Managing multiple concurrent projects and completing high quality deliverables on time.

Basic Role Qualifications & Skills
- 0-1 years of recruiting experience or transferable professional experience.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field is required.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, attention to detail, combined with high-level of intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to analyse, organise and synthesize large volumes of information to derive meaningful insights.
- Proficient in effectively managing and prioritising multiple tasks concurrently.
- Sound skills in professional communications, including writing, speaking, and presenting information in a clear and coherent manner.
Preferred Role Qualifications
- Experience identifying market trends and researching information effectively through various channels.
- Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM.
- Demonstrated skill in building and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
