Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Business Group Leader - Project Services to join our Delivery Phase Services (DPS) Region. This is a key leadership role and will provide a great opportunity to continue to develop and lead our project services team and architecture.
The opportunity will see you lead the project services team to deliver large Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) and Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) type contracts/projects.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager DPS, you will manage the national DPS Project Services team providing project controls, systems implementation, cost planning and control, schedule planning and control, estimating, reporting, data management and change management functions.
Location is flexible and the successful applicant can reside in one of our GHD Offices across Australia.
As we look to transition from traditional energy sources to adopt more renewable alternatives, you can play a key role in enabling and accelerating this change as we partner with significant clients across resources, renewable energy and utilities projects.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Leading the Project Services team with accountability for integration management across all aspects of Project Delivery including construction, engineering, HSE, scope, cost, schedule and risk management.
- Continuing the development and implementation of project services procedures and tools.
- Implementation of the DPS Digital Strategy as it applies to Project Services.
- Managing the Project Services team resourcing to support DPS.
- National leadership, mentoring and development of the Project Services team.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Project Services functions and other stakeholders.
- Compliance with GHD’s corporate procedures and Limits of Authority.
What you will bring to the team:
- Formal qualifications in a relevant engineering, accounting or project service related discipline.
- Has operated as a project services manager within a large multidisciplinary engineering service provider or client organisation with a minimum 10-year experience in this role level.
- Strong judgement and decisiveness; bias for action.
- Proactive, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written
